Hair stylist that know curls and curly hair know that for some it's best to cut the hair dry. Curls, as mentioned in previous blogs, fall differently and can not be cut the same way straight hair is cut. Andre Walker, Oprah Winfrey's hairstylist wrote a book years ago and made a very interesting and poignant observation. Most stylists were cutting and styling hair for ways the clients NEVER wore their hair. Straight hair for women who had curly and and curly hair for women who had straight hair. He was the first stylist to say, "Hey! Your hair is curly, let's cut it to wear it that way". So, when a guest asks me to cut their hair the way they wear it I am more than happy to oblige.
