With that said its time to ask my friends and followers to support my career and send friends to me for hair services.

Helping hand
There comes a time in everyone's life when a helping hand is needed and asking for that hand can be difficult to those of us with pride.

Teaching an old dog new tricks
Had a blast at the Style 101 class with Christiaan at L7 Salon. Great subject, great teacher, great space, and I completed it with great remarks on my card....

Can't always get what you want.
There are always times when you go into a salon with high expectations only to be shot down with the words, "There just isn't enough time today to do all that you want."
Relax. Take a deep breath and make an educated plan that will get the results you want. Sometimes, doing something in steps can be healthier for your hair.

Hair Do
Getting lighter for summer is fun, zippy, and can add some volume to hair. Remember that the degree of lightness you go will be the degree dark you will need to go back in the winter.
A few levels lighter makes all the difference and is easier to cover later.

Beauty is as beauty does
The things that make us beautiful are sometimes not made by products or tools but words.

Summer shine
I blogged before about this but thought it needed to be revised. To "highlight" your hair is to highlight your natural color. To use "highlights" as a means or way of changing your hair color is a different thing.
Just like the word "heated". Used one way it can describe a way of warming food and another way to describe a debate. Both are "correct" but when telling your stylist you want "natural highlights" and really want to be all over blonde with "highlights" you may have a problem.

People know what's best for them
When a guest brings a photo to me I love to ask questions. Questions like, "what about this 'color' do you like"? If the photo is for a cut I ask the same question but related to how it falls or it's styled. It opens communication and a better experience for them.
